Pilot Training in Houston, TX

Aerosim Flight Academy has partnered with San Jacinto College in Houston, Texas, to offer students more pilot training options. Because Aerosim is the preferred flight vendor for San Jacinto College, students of San Jacinto can receive professional pilot training through San Jacinto College at nearby Ellington Field Airport. All flight training is done at Aerosim Flight Academy’s state-of-the-art facilities where students are provided with the technical skills necessary to qualify for a position as an airline pilot.

Pilot Development Program – Earn a Two-Year Degree

Students enrolled in the Pilot Development Program at San Jacinto can earn a two-year Associate of Science Degree. This pilot training program prepares students for FAA certification as a private, instrument, commercial and multi-engine pilot. Instruction is provided in the latest technically advanced aircraft and simulators.

San Jacinto is one of the first community colleges to provide an FAA/Industry Training Standards (FITS) approach to training. This program creates scenario-based, learner-focused training that encourages practical application of knowledge and skills. Students learn the risk-management and operational skills needed to successfully pilot planes in the National Airspace System.

All ground training is provided by the Aeronautical Technology Department at the San Jacinto College central campus. Flight training is done through Aerosim Flight Academy at nearby Ellington Field Airport.
