Parts Coordinator
Reports To: Supervisor of Parts Department
Basic function: This position will manage parts inventory in support of the Maintenance Department.
Inventory flow should be adequate to enable the Maintenance Department to maintain sufficient aircraft availability to meet the academy’s flight schedule and goals to ensure aircraft airworthiness and reliability at all times.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all parts are checked out o an appropriate aircraft number
- Track inventory
- Keep the parts department clean, organized and operating in an efficient manner
- Order parts from aircraft manufacturers and from approved vendors
- Maintain a proper supply of consumable (paint, lubricants, etc)
- Maintain the inventory minimum standards list
- Recommend projects to improve the performance of the aircraft parts department
- Maintain hardware bins
- Verify that all tools or equipment on the list have current calibration
Qualifications
- Clerical skills and experience with inventory control (counting organizing, ordering parts)
- Basic computer skills, database management preferred
- Excellent organizational skills
