Self-Pace Pilot Training for U.S. Students

Aerosim Flight Academy offers self-paced training for those individuals who would like to earn a Certificate, ratings, or recurrent training.  This training is offered to anyone who is looking to fly for recreation, or as a professional career. Aerosim Flight Academy recommends taking a tour of our modern Central Florida Campus, located on the Orlando-Sanford International Airport, and schedule a discovery flight with one of our highly qualified Flight Instructors.

Private Pilot Certificate

• Privileges include: Day & Night Visual Flight Rules (VFR), and passengers allowed not-for-hire
• Minimum Required training: 40 hours
• Single engine aircraft

Instrument Rating

• Privileges include: Day & Night Instrument Flight Rules (IFR), and passengers allowed not-for-hire
• Minimum Required training: 40 hours + 50 hours of Pilot-in-Command (PIC)
• Single engine aircraft

Commercial Pilot Certificate (with IFR Rating)

• Privileges include: Day & Night Instrument Flight Rules (IFR), and passengers are allowed for-hire
• Minimum Required training: 20 hours + 250 hours of Pilot-in-Command (PIC)
• Single engine aircraft

CAPS Deployment

• Designed as half Day course approx. 3 Hour contact time
• Completion cert given at end of course
• Ground and FTD lessons
• Ground Topics(1-1.5 Hours)
• Flight Training Device  Lesson (approx. 1 Hour)

Caribbean Ops

• Designed as 1 Day course approx. 6 Hour contact time
• Completion cert given at end of the course
• Ground and Flight Lesson
• Ground Topics (2 Hours)
• Flight Lesson (approx. 3 Hours flight time)

Other Course Offerings

• If the ability to use the customer’s aircraft is allowed, we can get the following;
• BFR (Biennial Flight Review) Use of customers aircraft required
• IPC (Instrument Proficiency Check)

Courses in Development

• IFR cascading errors and failures (Use of Our FTD if person has Avidyne Avionics)
• IFR (non- IPC currency) Use of our FTD for “66HIT”
