Testimonials

“I love flying airplanes. That I get to make a living doing it, is icing on the cake. When I decided to pursue a career as an airline pilot, the biggest decision for me was where to obtain my training. For me, the choice was easy. Aerosim Flight Academy had a professional pilot program, designed by an airline, with just one objective: To produce a pilot who is ready to be hired. From the structure of the program to the technology of the equipment, Aerosim had my attention. Each step in the process is laid out to facilitate the transition from one rating to the next and eventually the First Officer interview at an airline. There are other flight schools out there that train pilots, but for anyone whose goal is to get to the airlines, Aerosim Flight Academy is the easy choice!”

“I have always known I wanted to fly in the airlines so after earning my private pilot certificate, I knew I wanted to go somewhere that would teach me to become a professional pilot. I chose Aerosim Flight Academy. I started at Aerosim as a student in March 2009, and by February 2010, I got my first aviation job as a flight instructor for the Academy. Choosing to stay at Aerosim and flight instruct was the best choice I could have made. During that year I learned so much about flying, and I improved my piloting skills/knowledge from teaching it every day. After only a year of instructing, I was hired by SureJet Airlines, the biggest Regional Airline in the United States (formerly known as ASA/ExpressJet Airlines).

I have no doubt the airline simulated atmosphere Aerosim Flight Academy provides is the reason why I was successful during my airline interview, and have been successful during 121 training. I have seen first-hand the many similarities in how Aerosim’s structured training is similar to the airlines. Aerosim Flight Academy instills in you the highest standards that are needed to succeed as a professional pilot.”

“Just like every other pilot, I had always dreamed of being on the flight deck and soaring the skies.  Aerosim Flight Academy (Delta Connection Academy when I started) provided me with the best instructors and aircraft to succeed.  The structure that is laid out at the Academy does not miss a bit during the transition to an airline.  The transition from being a flight student to an instructor then an airline pilot was smooth and effortless.  The way the curriculum is set up, there are no big surprises when you reach the airlines, so the airline training is rather easy.

The Academy not only prepared me as a pilot, but it also gave me a chance to excel in other parts of aviation as a ground school instructor, flight supervisor and one of three instructors who helped set up the Academy’s very successful ab-initio program!  I have been able to use that knowledge at my current airline in the Recruiting Department as well as in the Safety Department as an FOQA Analyst at one of the most successful and largest regional airlines in the world. The Academy is more than just a flying program.  The more time and effort you give to the Academy, the more you will get back from the Academy.”

“My name is Jorge Martinez, and I am a former Aerosim Flight Instructor from Spain. My life at the Academy started in 2007 as a student pilot with no flight experience, and I completed my pilot and instructor licenses by March 2008. I started instructing in April, and I can say that was one of the best decisions I could have ever made. I could use all of the knowledge I learned during my pilot certificates to teach my students, which gave me great feedback on improving my experience and pilot skills. I instructed for almost three years, and in early 2011, I got hired by LAN Airlines in Chile. They are one of the top ten airlines worldwide with a fleet composed of Airbus 320, Airbus A340, Boeing 767 and Boeing 777.

During the hiring process, I felt much more prepared than pilots coming in with more flight hours than me. I can only think that was due to the experience I gained at Aerosim Flight Academy. Aviation is such a rewarding industry when you prepare yourself with the highest education out there.”

“My experience at Aerosim Flight Academy (formerly Delta Connection Academy) was unique. Coming from another world renowned flight school, meaning that I can compare flight schools, Aerosim Flight Academy was definitely no walk in the park. I really had to study hard in order to achieve the goal to complete every flight rating and endorsements in the shortest time possible. It took me 8 months. This is a school where you feel like a pilot. In the academy, every student is part of the same school so it has a unique, friendly, competitive culture. You get to know people from all over the world with the same passion and love for aviation where the only thing you will talk about in 24 hours is airplanes.

As far as training goes, students become as knowledgeable as flight instructors because they will most likely become a flight instructor. Ground and Lab instructors know what they are talking about so take advantage of their knowledge. While in the academy, my favorite training airplane was the Cirrus SR20. It has up-to-date technology and features that you will encounter on today’s corporate or airline airplanes.

One more thing I want to point out is the fact that you will have vast experience flying in different weather environments vs. other schools that will fly only when the sun is out, no clouds are around and visibility is 20NM. You will probably have the opportunity to log real IMC on your log book like I did.”

“I’d like to thank Aerosim Flight Academy for being the best at what they do. On November of 2010, I had an engine failure in a Cessna 152 in a school in Mexico, and I was able to glide down to an abandoned runway and walk away unhurt. I’m positive that if I hadn’t studied at Aerosim (formerly Delta Connection Academy) and received the best training in the world, things would have probably been very different. Keep up the good work and again THANK YOU.”

“I started my training at Aerosim Flight Academy back in January 2009, and graduated with my CFII in December of that year. Then I worked as a flight instructor from March 2010 to December 2010. I did the entire program, from Private to the Jet Transition Bridge, and I’m currently converting my pilot licenses in my country, Mexico. Aerosim’s program has allowed me to go through this conversion process the fastest and with the highest score on the tests. I’ve had a few interviews with airlines here. Now I only need my Mexican license, and I will be flying a jet soon!!!”
