The Mechtronix Ascent® FTD offers a full avionics system, along
with other systems such as hydraulics, fuel, electrics, and more,
in an open or enclosed shell environment. Depending on operational
requirements the Ascent FTD offers additional options such as spring
loaded or full electronic control loaded flight controls and yoke
as well as fully operational auto-throttle assemblies. As with all
components of the Integrated Training Architecture™, such
systems are based on aircraft and avionics manufacturer data.

Freeplay Simulation
Under FAA and JAA regulations, FTD’s can be used for pilot and co-pilot
procedure training – the path to 100% proficiency rate. The Ascent FTD
can simulate the flight deck in terms of form, fit, feel and functions under
normal, non-normal and emergency conditions. To make it an effective training
device, we have provided a built in sophisticated Instructor Operating Station. |
