All
Aerosim’s free-play FMST and Virtual Flight Deck™ products
can be deployed over the Internet to provide Web Based Training.
The applications are packaged as an ActiveX™ control that
can be embedded on a web page. The Microsoft Internet Explorer
web browser is required.
Courseware
content created using the Lesson Plan Editor can be deployed
on a web server and streamed to the user. This allows for centralized
management of courseware content. New courseware and courseware
updates can be easily deployed. Bandwidth requirements for
steaming courseware are dependent on the media content of the
courseware but are generally very low since the simulation
is run locally. With proper design, dial-up Internet connections
can be supported.
The
approach of running the simulation product on the users computer
and streaming courseware content from a web server allows for
high fidelity interactive simulation based courseware without
the simulation latency and high bandwidth requirements of a
server based approach.
