| Aerosim
Technologies was founded in 1993 by a team of engineers with a vision
that aviation training should be realistic, state of the art, and
provide an enjoyable learning experience. Each team member provided
comprehensive knowledge of a broad range of flight simulation, including
aerodynamics, avionics, navigation, engines, flight controls and
aircraft systems. In addition, the computer programmers possessed
valuable skills in design of instructor interface, courseware, and
Computer Aided Training. Armed with their knowledge and experience,
the Aerosim Team focused on a single goal: to provide state-of-the-art
flight training devices for the commercial and military airline industry
worldwide.
Recognizing the need for low cost and high performance Flight Management System Trainers (FMST's), Aerosim dedicated eighteen months of research to producing an affordable true free play FMST. Aerosim filled the missing link between traditional Computer Based Training and Full Flight Simulators by designing a new kind of PC-based simulation trainer, equipped with full free-play functions and realistic cockpit environments. The finished product surpassed all others in the market in terms of functionality and performance and continues to do so today. In 2000, Aerosim along with our partner Mechtronix Systems announced the Integrated Training Architecture™. The Aerosim-Mectronix Integrated Training Architecture™ (ITA™) products share the same software source as free-play objects creating standardization, consistency and seamless training for our customers. The ITA™ products include: the Aerosim Flight Management System Trainer (FMST), the Aerosim Virtual Flight Deck™ (VFD™), the Aerosim Virtual Procedures Trainer (VPT™), Simulation Based Training (SBT), Ascent® Flight Training Devices (FTD) and Ascent® Full Flight Trainers (FFT).
