how2use™ demo is a simulation of a Radio Management
Unit (RMU) used in various aircraft to tune radios and perform
other aircraft communication
functions. A freeplay simulation of the RMU allows the user to
exercise all of the features of the device. In addition, several
lessons on the use of the RMU are provided to demonstrate the courseware
and simulation based training capabilities of how2use™.
After selecting the demo link, a security warning dialog will appear asking if you want to install the demo plug-in. Ensure that Aerosim Technologies, Inc. is named as the distributor of the software and select the “Yes” button to start the installation process. The RMU demo download is approximately 2.1 megabytes in size. The lesson samples also require version 9 or higher of the Windows Media Player. This will be installed automatically if required, and is a 4 megabyte download. After installation, the RMU panel will appear on the web page. Interaction with the RMU panel is accomplished by clicking on buttons using the mouse. The left side of the demo web page contains a menu of lessons available on various aspects of RMU operation. Click on the lesson name to start the lesson. The
how2use™ demo requires Internet Explorer version 5.5 or higher
