President & CEO
Dave Rapley is responsible for running the organization and providing the company’s direction through planning, strategic initiatives, and alliances to achieve business goals. He also oversees the new product development further expanding Aerosim’s product line. Rapley possesses over 20 years in the aircraft simulation industry. He has worked for both airlines and simulator manufacturers such as Singer Link Miles, as a simulation software engineer. Rapley founded the company in October 1993 after full time development of the Company’s core display technologies. Educated in Chichester, England, Rapley has an HNC in Electrical engineering.
Vice President, Aerosim Technologies
Phil Brown possesses over 20 years experience in the Aerospace industry, the last 17 of which have been in the simulation of aircraft avionics and systems. He previously worked at British Aerospace in the Computational Fluid Dynamics Dept. and at Singer Link Miles on Aerodynamics and systems. He is responsible for all aspects of Product Development at Aerosim. This includes leading the Simulation, CBT/Multimedia and Customer Support Departments, in addition to Program Management. Educated in England, he holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aeronautical Engineering with Honors from Queen Mary College, London.
Henry “Hank” Coates
Vice President Aerosim Flight Academy
Hank Coates is the Vice President and Operations Manager for the Aerosim Flight Academy. He graduated from McNeese State University and has a BS in Chemical Engineering. After graduation, Hank joined the US Navy and attended Officer Candidate School and flight training in Pensacola Florida. Upon earning his Wings of Gold, he spent 23 years as a naval officer and aviator. During his career, Hank flew numerous aircraft and spent two tours directing foreign military flight training, simulations, aviation academics, and flew as a fixed wing flight instructor as well as serving in the role as a senior instructor for new flight instructors. Upon completion of his military career, Hank served as the Director of Quality Assurance and Emergency Engineering Solutions for an industrial construction company focused on the petro-chemical industry.
With nearly 30 years experience in aviation, aviation training, workforce development, resource management and efficiency strategies as well as public relations; Hank is dedicated to the Aerosim Flight Academy mission of delivering world class flight training to men and women with the desire and motivation of becoming fully qualified professional airline pilots.
Chief Financial Officer
John Kramer brings his Fortune 100 and entrepreneurial background to Aerosim with both domestic and international experience ranging from consumer goods to software to the service industries. John earned his CPA at Peat, Marwick and Mitchell while holding a BA from Colgate University, a Masters in Accounting from Sloan School of Business, and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School. He is based in Sanford, Florida and responsible for both Aerosim Technologies, Aerosim Flight Academy, and AeroElite Flight Training Solutions.
