Product Overview

The Virtual Procedure Trainer (VPT) is a reconfigurable crew training device designed to optimize training time and improve the learning process for pilots and maintenance personnel.  The VPT can combine customized courseware with simulation to actively engage students in the learning process.  Theory, practice, technical details, operational issues and human factors are brought together in a realistic environment.

Procedures Training Suite (VFD/VPT)

The Aerosim Virtual Flight Deck (VFD)/Virtual Procedure Trainer (VPT) suite provides a valuable resource to pilots in training by integrating procedures training with both products. Students can practice procedures on the VFD where they want, when they want, prior to their VPT session. This combination provides a valuable procedures training platform for the students, increasing airline training effieciency and student success rates.

The VFD features Aerosim’s Lesson Plan Editor (LPE) which can be used to build structured procedural lessons for classroom use and in a distance learning environment. Airline instructors can build custom procedural lessons to prepare students for Virtual Procedure Trainer (VPT) and Full Flight Simulator (FFS) training sessions. The VFD and these lessons can be distributed to students via USB drives providing unlimited practice in a distance learning environment prior to class instruction, VPT or FFS training sessions. These procedural lessons prepare students for a seamless transition to the VPT or FFS; ensuring a more effective training session.

FFS Quality Simulation
