Pilot Training Overview
The Aerosim Solution
From recruitment to training to placement, Aerosim is committed to providing an airline with the ideal pilot. The strength of our partnership will form a pipeline of quality cadets motivated to be trained for the needs of your airline. This commitment by both the airline and Aerosim Flight Academy is one that is not defined by financial obligation but rather by marketing power and collaboration. This collaboration will not only create a solid pathway to a successful outcome of delivering a top quality pilot but will reignite the passion for aviation. This is the formula for success and will provide a total solution for our airline partners.
By working with each airline to define the qualities and characteristics of an ideal candidate profile, we are able to tailor the curriculum and create the most efficient and economical pathway for both the pilot and the airline.
An airline can expect the following from Aerosim Flight Academy:
- Cadet recruitment, screening, and selection
- Ab-initio and custom cadet pilot training programs
- First Officer training, Jet Transition and Multi-Crew Coordination (MCC)
- Type rating training
About Aerosim Flight Academy
Aerosim Flight Academy is a top-tier flight school originally created by the airlines (Delta/Comair). Our training is rooted in the discipline required to turn cadets into successful airline pilots and meet the demands experienced by professional flight crews.
The main campus, located at the Orlando-Sanford International Airport was established in 1989 by Comair Airlines and has been training professional airline pilots for the past two decades. In 2000, Delta Air Lines purchased Comair Airlines and began with supplying first rate pilots to Delta Connection carriers. In December 2009, Aerosim Technologies acquired Delta Connection Academy to expand the vision of supplying airlines with a total aviation training solution – student pilots to type rated first officers delivered to an airline.
Throughout the years, the Academy has always remained true to its original mission: deliver high quality flight training producing professional airline pilots, starting on day one.
Our Approach
Aerosim has the expertise required to meet your company’s objectives and is dedicated to the pursuit of the ideal pilot for your company using your process and your culture. We are committed to your success. The state-of-the-art flight training devices and modern aircraft utilized in our training are a crucial component to the process; however, we also believe in providing learning that goes beyond the classroom. Matching airlines with pilots that adhere to their corporate values and employee code of conduct is just as important.
Aerosim goes beyond just checking the box by encouraging the following:
- Airline preparation from day one
- Discipline and respect
- Leadership and communication
- Effective Resource Management
- Command authority and decision making
- Building future airline captains
Our pathway programs are designed to produce excellent results through five critical phases:
Recruitment
With marketing efforts designed to reach and engage next generation pilots, Aerosim utilizes a vast network of resources designed to find and recruit new student pilots.
Screening
Based on a pre-determined student profile, we partner with you to establish requirements and expectations in order to recruit the right cadet. This candidate screening process can include a face-to face interview, practical skills assessment, and written test.
Selection
In the selection process, our goal is to find the right pilot for your organization based on the approved profile. Once we have identified the right candidates for review, Aerosim works with you to make the right selections.
Training
From ab-initio to type rating, the Aerosim training programs may be customized to meet your profile and provide efficient training options and locations. We offer both traditional and MPL paths for flight training.
Placement
Partnering with Aerosim ensures a successful outcome to your most important asset- a highly qualified pilot that fits seamlessly into your organization.
